Hi, I’m Tink.

Otherwise known as Octavia Bromell. As an illustrator I have one goal – to find the joy in everyday life.

I am this year’s Adobe Creative Resident from the UK. Find out more about the residency and my role here.

I began drawing after coming home with clinical depression and severe anxiety three years ago. After hardly picking up a paintbrush since I left school, I quickly transitioned from cheap paint palettes to specialist materials, and now I’m lucky enough to work from my own studio in a shepherd’s hut in Dorset, and be part of the world class Creative Residency programme with Adobe.

I combine analogue and digital painting to create vibrant illustrations of the inspirational people and beautiful plants of my dreams. I love using bright colours, and playing with texture, to make striking work in my own style. I also create a lot of work on the topic of mental health, and self esteem, drawing on my own experiences to try and understand what it means to be a human in 2019.

In the rare moments I’m not drawing, or thinking about drawing, you will most likely find me charity shopping, or trawling antique fairs. I also love fossil hunting at my local beaches on the Jurassic Coast, and watching (and rewatching) David Attenborough or Louis Theroux documentaries.

I run my own online shop selling prints and other goodies, which you can find here.

For my latest work, find me on Instagram here, which I treat like a visual diary.

I also teach on Skillshare, find my classes here.

If you’d like to make something lovely together, please get in touch.
